I didn’t like this poem as much as I liked the other by Langston Hughes. It was too depressing. I understand that the title is “Too Blue” so I wasn’t expecting a happy poem or anything, but I just feel uneasy about when people get sad and the first thing they think about is killing themself. I don’t understand how that thought even pops into their heads as an option. And I totally understand that everyone has their own situations, some worse than others, but I definitely think that death is never the right answer. So, in my opinion this poem sort of supported that thought and I did not like that.
