This story is ok because of all of the trouble the man went through, the author wanted to show us how to survive in the wilderness. I also understood that when someone tells you something its not for bad that they tell you. Maybe the story wouldve been different if in fact the man knew more about th wildrness and how to survive. I like also about the story is that the dog is very smart. You can tell by this story that dogs are smarter than human.
