Kate Chopin, The Story of an Hour

  1. On my opinion, “The Story of An Hour” is an amazing story for men. Kate Chopin seemed to educate men about the hypocrisy of some women. For certain opinion, Mrs. Mallard is sample of those women. She lives in with her husband Mallard, but her heart lives out. According to the third paragraph from the bottom, it appears strange for a wife who receives the news of her sweet heart’s death has a feverish triumph in eyes, and carries herself unwittingly like a goddess of Victory. Another thing it is important to mention, it is about her behavior. Chopin stated that when she heard the news, she went to her room calmly. In that room she stood and put her arm in comfortable armchair with facing open window. By receiving a sad message, many people would expect a wife to weep with affliction and extreme pain. However, she seems to have an agony of joy
