I loved the poem “Cloudy Day.” It’s sort of an inspiring, bad-example-to-follow-but-still-can-learn-from-it kind of poem. I love the setting Jimmy paints for us, it’s very believable. It makes me reflect on my life and be thankful that I am not in his place. And then when he reminisces on the day he was brought into prison, it makes me feel terrible because I can imagine what he felt that day, to be told, yeah, that’s the place where you’re going to live for a long time. I feel bad, but not too bad because whether he likes it or not, Jimmy was a criminal, otherwise he wouldn’t have been sent to jail.So in my opinion, people get what they deserve.
